The "Les Films de Plein Air" Festival returns for its 5th edition! While watching a film under the stars of Parc Monceau is a magical experience, a successful evening cannot be entirely improvised. Between the falling chill and the park's organization, here are our tips for enjoying the session like a pro.
👜 In your bag: The essentials
To savor the film without ending up with pins and needles in your legs or chattering teeth, check your bag before leaving:
A little extra layer (and even more): Do not rely on afternoon temperatures. Once the sun has set, the humidity of the grass rises. Bring a good sweater or, better yet, a soft plaid to wrap yourself up in.
The comfort kit: The ground of Parc Monceau is magnificent, but it remains hard. A cushion to sit on, a floor mat or a small folding chair (low, so as not to block the view of your neighbors!) will make all the difference after two hours of film.
The flashlight: When the end credits roll, the park is plunged into darkness. A small flashlight (or your well-charged smartphone lamp) is essential for picking up all your waste and finding your way back to the exits without incident.
✅ Organization: What you need to know
To ensure that entry goes smoothly, keep these few rules in mind:
Free, but by reservation: Access to the projections is totally free! However, for reasons of security and comfort, the number of places is limited. Don't forget to reserve your ticket on our site and present it (on your phone or paper) at the entrance.
Time is paramount: The park gates exceptionally remain open for the festival until midnight. We advise you to arrive early to choose the best location and enjoy the sunset. Projections start around 6 PM.
Where to find us? The festival takes place in the heart of Parc Monceau, located at 35 Boulevard de Courcelles, 75008 Paris. The most direct access is by the Monceau metro (Line 2).
🥖 Picnic and conviviality
An outdoor session is inseparable from a good snack. To ensure that this moment remains pleasant for everyone:
Favor "Finger Food": Choose foods that are easy to eat by hand (quiches, wraps, fruits). It's simpler than juggling plates on your knees in the dark.
Safety first: Please note, glass bottles are strictly prohibited within the park to avoid any risk of breakage. Transfer your drinks into flasks or reusable plastic bottles.
Stay hydrated: Even if the chill falls, we often forget to drink water. A large flask is your best ally.
🚲 Coming to the Park: Soft mobility
The Parc Monceau area is very well served, but don't forget:
Bicycles and scooters: They are not allowed to circulate inside the park during projections. Parking areas are available near the gates of the Boulevard de Courcelles.
Public transport: In addition to Line 2 (Monceau station), you can use Lines 3 (Villiers) or 13 (Miromesnil) which are less than 10 minutes away on foot.
🧹 Respect for the site: Our common commitment
Parc Monceau is a historic jewel. We count on you to:
Leave nothing behind: Sorting trash bags will be distributed by our volunteers at the beginning of the session.
Respect the plantings: Stay well on the authorized lawns so as not to damage the flower beds that make the site beautiful.
The entire festival team looks forward to seeing you on the lawn. Prepare your best smile, your friends, your family and your plaid: the show is about to begin!
